इंडियन चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स (ICC) ने 11 मई, 2021 को इंडियन रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी डेवलपमेंट एजेंसी लिमिटेड (IREDA) को ‘हरित ऊर्जा पुरस्कार (Green Urja Award)’ से सम्मानित किया है। इस एजेंसी को अक्षय ऊर्जा के लिए वित्तपोषण संस्थान के तौर पर एक अग्रणी सार्वजनिक संस्थान होने के लिए सम्मानित किया गया है। यह Green Urja Award प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार इरेडा के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक, प्रदीप कुमार दास ने महानिदेशक, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सौर गठबंधन, डॉ अजय माथुर से प्राप्त किया। एक वर्चुअल समारोह के दौरान ICC की राष्ट्रीय विशेषज्ञ समिति के अध्यक्ष अनिल राजदान भी मौजूद थे।
भारतीय अक्षय ऊर्जा विकास एजेंसी लिमिटेड (IREDA – Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited) को हरित ऊर्जा वित्तपोषण में उनकी महत्त्वपूर्ण और विकासात्मक भूमिका के लिए पुरस्कार मिला है। इरेडा ने इस महामारी के बावजूद वर्ष, 2020-21 के अंत में जोरदार कामयाबी हासिल की है। इसने ऋण की दूसरी उच्चतम राशि को 8,827 करोड़ रुपये वितरित किये हैं।
इरेडा (IREDA):
इरेडा, जो नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय के प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण में है, देश में अक्षय ऊर्जा (RE) और ऊर्जा दक्षता (EE) परियोजनाओं के वित्तपोषण के लिए भारत में एकमात्र समर्पित संस्थान है। पिछले वर्षों में, एजेंसी ने जिन ऋणों को मंजूरी दी है वे कुल मिलाकर 96,601 करोड़ रुपये हैं और 63,492 करोड़ रुपये का वितरण किया है। भारत में अब तक इरेडा ने 17,586 मेगावाट से अधिक अक्षय ऊर्जा क्षमता का योगदान दिया है।
